Katherine's Journey: From Shyness to Servant Leadership!

When our discipleship program first came to Katherine’s community, she quietly began to attend. She wasn’t sure what to expect, but something stirred in her heart. She had always been shy, unsure of how to share her faith, and hesitant to connect with others. But that day marked the beginning of a remarkable spiritual journey.

Week by week, as Katherine studied the Word of God, something began to change. “I used to be afraid to talk,” she said. “But Bible study has built my courage. I can now stand in front of people and share about Jesus.” What once seemed impossible became her new reality.

But it wasn’t just her courage that grew. Her heart expanded too. “Before, I didn’t love friends,” she admitted. “I didn’t even have any. But now, I have love. Scripture has led me to love.” Through the relationships she formed in the group, she discovered the joy of Christian community, the warmth of friendship, and the beauty of walking alongside others in faith.

One of the greatest revelations for Katherine was realizing that she was called to be a servant leader. “I have tried to give my life completely to God,” she shared. “Before, I didn’t know that God had given me any abilities or gifts. But my teacher saw things in me that I never knew were there.” That encouragement sparked a new fire in her. Today, Katherine serves as a women’s leader in her church, faithfully guiding and mentoring other women with the same love and truth that she has received.

Katherine’s story is a powerful testimony of what God can do when we open our hearts to Him. From shy and uncertain to bold and servant-hearted, she has become a living example of how God uses discipleship to change lives . . . not just for a moment, but for eternity.
