Still Shining for Christ at over 100 Years Old

At over 100 years old, Justine has lived a remarkable life, but what shines brightest is her unwavering faith in God.

When our mission team visited her home, they repaired and mudded her hut, built a simple bath house, and provided a new mattress, blanket, lantern, and food. Overwhelmed with gratitude, she repeatedly thanked the the Lord for remembering her.

Years ago, while caring for her sick husband, Justine gave her life fully to Christ. Since then she has depended on HIm, even now when her body is worn out. "When I am in pain, I pray, and the Lord helps me," she shared. Although she is no longer strong enough to walk to church, fellow believers faithfully visit her, bringing prayer and encouragement.

Known throughout her community as a devoted Christian, faithful women's ministry leader, successful farmer, and midwife, Justine delivered hundreds of babies during her lifetime. She raised eight children of her own and has spent her life serving others.

When asked what advice she would give, her answer was simple: "Be a godly person. Love people. And always be someone who gives. Even if all you have is wisdom, give that to others."

As we prepared to leave, she smiled and quietly said, "I am old, and I look so forward to seeing Jesus."

We came to bless Justine, but we left deeply encouraged. Her life is a beautiful reminder that a heart devoted to Christ leaves a legacy that will never fade.
