A Future Changed

When Robin Bob was just two years old, his world turned upside down. His mother, Esther, was wrongfully accused of murdering her husband and spent six painful years in prison before finally being proven innocent. During that heartbreaking time, Robin Bob was cared for by his older brothers and sisters while Esther endured the agony of being separated from her children. More than anything, she worried about her youngest son. "It was so hard," Esther quietly recalled. "I worried about Robin Bob every day."

Life was difficult for the whole family, but Robin Bob’s life began to change when he was selected for the Child Sponsorship Program. That single intervention became a turning point – not only for his education but for his faith.

"I have learned so much about God," Robin Bob said with a smile. "I love God, and I am so grateful for my studies." Today, Robin Bob has successfully completed his academic studies with excellent results and is now beginning the final two years of vocational training to become an electrician—one of the most promising and employable trades in Uganda. He is preparing for a career that will allow him to provide for himself and help support his family for years to come.

His favorite Bible verse is Psalm 34:15: "The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry." Those words carry special meaning for a family that has experienced both suffering and God's faithfulness.

Esther's own life has also been transformed. Today she is actively involved in discipleship and the farming program, faithfully following Christ and rebuilding her life with hope. When asked what verse has encouraged her most, she immediately quoted Jeremiah 29:11: "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"

Looking at Robin Bob today, it is hard not to see that promise coming to life.

What once seemed like a story marked by loss and injustice has become a testimony of redemption. Through the love of Christ, the faithfulness of sponsors, and the opportunities made possible through education, Robin Bob now stands on the threshold of a bright future—ready to use his skills, his faith, and his life to make a difference in the world around him.

Sometimes, God's greatest miracles are not the removal of every hardship, but the beautiful future He builds from them.
