Victor’s mother lost her own mother at a young age and was raised by her grandmother. At sixteen, she disappeared from home, returning two years later with three-month-old Victor. The identity of his father and the circumstances surrounding his birth remain unknown. When Victor was about a year old, his mother disappeared again, and no one has seen or heard from her since. Since that time, Victor has been cared for by his great-grandmother.
Life, however, was far from safe. Victor’s great-grandmother also cared for an adult son who suffered from severe mental illness and frequently became violent. He repeatedly assaulted his mother and threatened Victor’s life on several occasions. Fearing for her great-grandson’s safety, she moved him from place to place whenever she could. During this difficult season, she found hope and encouragement through EWT’s Discipleship Program, where she shared the family’s desperate circumstances. Soon after, Victor was welcomed into Jireh Children’s Home, where he has flourished.
Today, Victor enjoys safety and stability, along with nutritious meals, medical care, a quality education, and the love of a caring family. Because every child at Jireh Children’s Home is supported by both an education sponsor and a boarding sponsor (or one sponsor who provides full support), Victor is currently in need of an additional sponsor. We are praying that God will provide just the right person to come alongside him as he continues to grow, learn, and thrive. Your sponsorship will help ensure that Victor continues receiving the loving care and opportunities that are giving him hope for a bright future.
Victor needs a boarding sponsor for $35/month.
