Phillip Eetu
Sex: Male
Location: Angetta
Sponsorship Need: Education and/or Boarding
Seven-year-old Phillip has recently joined Jireh Children’s Home after living in a vulnerable state for some time. His mother became pregnant with him when she was still in primary school and disappeared shortly after his first birthday. No one has heard from her since, and it is uncertain whether she is even still alive. She never revealed the identity of his father, and he was left solely in the care of his aging grandparents.
Unfortunately, Phillip’s grandmother died when he turned two, leaving her elderly husband and the toddler with no one in the world but each other. The grandfather had three older children, but they lived far away and were married with children of their own. They did not offer him any support in taking care of Phillip, so he tried to work at nearby farms to provide food for the boy. Most of the time there was only enough for one meal a day, and sometimes they went without eating entirely. Their home was located near a swamp in an area prone to heavy rain, and the whole floor was damp and very cold.
We are so thankful God has allowed Phillip to be plucked from this desperate situation, but he is understandably shaken and is quite fearful of his new surroundings. We pray that as he adjusts, he will come to know that he is cared for not only by His Creator but by the people around him as well. Sponsoring Phillip will not only ensure that he is fed, clothed, and educated, but will also be a tangible expression of the love he so deeply needs.
Phillilp needs an education or boarding sponsor for $35/month, or both for $70/month.
