Nambi is the sixth-born in a family of eight children in Abongomola, where, like most families in their community, their main source of livelihood is subsistence farming. Her parents work hard to support them, but food is scarce, and they are plagued by severe drought. It is difficult for them to keep everyone adequately fed, let alone educated.
Nambi has been a part of our Child Sponsorship Program since she was in Primary 1, and her sponsorship has been a blessing to her entire family. She is now in Secondary 3 at COTN, where she continues to work hard in her studies. She is also very involved in spiritual development classes, and her parents are active in our Discipleship Program. They have all been growing in their knowledge of God’s love for them, and they look to Him for their source of strength.
As Nambi has progressed in school, she now needs a second sponsor to support her boarding. She is the first to reach this milestone, as none of her elder siblings or parents were able to attend school beyond a few years of primary. Your sponsorship will allow her to continue pursuing an advanced level of education and will provide renewed joy and hope to her whole family.
