Maurice comes from a family of six children in Northern Uganda, of which he is the second born. His parents are both still alive and are very hardworking, but his father suffers from disability, which has made providing food, clothing, and education for the children difficult. Much of the time, they survive on one meal a day, and his parents yearn to be able to provide them with a better life.
We were happy for Maurice to join our Child Sponsorship Program when he was nine years old and entering his first year of primary school. He is a bright, humble boy who loves learning. He has always dreamed of having an education, and he is still working hard to see this dream come true. His opportunity has also brought joy to his entire family.
Maurice has advanced in his education and is now in his fourth year of secondary school. With this advancement, he needs a second sponsor to support the higher costs of tuition, as well as boarding school. Your sponsorship will allow this boy’s dreams to come true and will bring peace and relief to parents who love their son.
