Gerald joined the EWT child sponsorship program in 2017 after his father died suddenly from a mysterious illness. He is the fifth born of six children, and his mother struggled to provide for the children’s basic needs after the death of her husband. Gerald’s sponsorship has been a tremendous blessing and help to this tired mother.
Gerald loves school and is an active participant in his classes. His teachers describe him as inquisitive and say that he likes to both ask and to answer questions during discussions. He is a friendly, good-natured child, who is well-liked by both adults and other children.
Gerald’s school is far away from where he lives, and it has been a struggle for him to make the journey. Because of this, he will soon be transferring to a boarding school where he will have easier access to his education. He needs a boarding sponsor to help him make this transition happen. It is hard to describe the impact and encouragement you will have on Gerald, but your help will be nothing less than a godsend.
