Elisabeth’s parents separated in 2012 before she was born. Her father has never been present, and her mother has since married another man who wants nothing to do with Elisabeth. Tragically, her short life is marked by a complete lack of parental care, aside from her elderly grandparents, who are peasant farmers with no reliable source of income. Before joining the EWT Child Sponsorship Program, Elisabeth was never able to attend school because there was simply no money for school fees.
Elisabeth was selected for the program in 2021, which has been an enormous blessing for both her and her grandparents. She is a sweet girl who loves the Lord, is a good friend to the other children, and can almost always be found smiling.
Elisabeth has recently transitioned to Hope Primary School, where she is now in Primary 5. This transition has been very positive for her, but her new school is farther away from home, and she now needs a boarding sponsor to come alongside her education sponsor. When Elisabeth was first selected for sponsorship, her grandmother told us that it had long been her prayer that Elisabeth would be able go to school and have a brighter future than anyone in her family before her. We thank God for that answered prayer, and we pray He will raise up another sponsor who will continue the good work in her life.
