Daniel is the third born in a family of four children. His father passed away when he was a year old while his mother was pregnant with her fourth child. Then, just two months after this baby was born, the mother died as well, rendering her children orphans. The father’s clan kept the two older siblings, but they sent Daniel and his younger sister to stay with their maternal grandmother.
Since then, she has grown elderly and has more responsibilities than she can manage. While living with her, the children slept on a sack on the floor, and the house leaked whenever it rained. She digs in the gardens of other people to make a small income, but the children were not able to go to school or to receive medical attention, and most of the time they had only one meal a day.
Because of their dire living conditions, both Daniel and Sharon recently came to Jireh Children’s home. Here, they will have a safe living space, healthy food, access to education, and the love of family. With of your help, Daniel can have a bright future that will enable him to reach for his God-given potential. Thank you for being the love of Jesus in his life!
