Bridget Ayaki

Grade: Secondary 1

Sex: Female

Location: Abongomola, Northern Uganda

Sponsorship Need: Education/Boarding

Bridget comes from a family in Northern Uganda and is the middle of three daughters. Four years ago, her parents separated when her father chose to marry another woman, and he has not remained involved in the family’s life since. The responsibility of raising three girls alone became overwhelming for Bridget’s mother, so she made the difficult decision to have Bridget live with her grandmother while she continued caring for the other two children.

For the past four years, Bridget has lived with her elderly grandmother, who relies on subsistence farming to provide food and has very little additional income. Though her grandmother has faithfully supported Bridget through her primary education, she has shared that financial hardship will make it impossible for her to send Bridget to secondary school.

Bridget has consistently been a well-disciplined student and ranks among the top performers in her class. Throughout primary school, she was an active member of the NISSI Gospel Team and participated in the radio outreach program. In recognition of her academic excellence and strong character, our superintendent of schools has selected Bridget for the EWT Sponsorship Program. Sponsoring Bridget will ensure she can continue her education and become the woman God has created her to be, while lifting a heavy burden from a tired grandmother’s shoulders.

Bridget needs an education or boarding sponsor for $35/month, or both for $70/month.
